I started my journey with AX Hotels over 20 years ago as a receptionist at AX The Victoria. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to take on new roles and responsibilities along the way. Today, I’m proud to manage several major hotels across the AX portfolio. It’s been a rewarding career path, and I’m grateful to AX for supporting my development.

Over the years I’ve learned from many colleagues and mentors whose experience helped shape my own approach to hospitality. Now I try to pass that inspiration on to others, especially new recruits starting with us, as there’s real opportunity here to build a long and successful career in hospitality.

I joined AX Group back in 1987 as an Administration Assistant and I now serve as Head of Administration, supporting our Chairman and coordinating many day-to-day operations at Head Office. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the Group grow and to know I’ve contributed to that journey. I value the constant opportunity to learn here and have gained invaluable experience across many areas of the business, with always something new to discover.

Working with such driven people has shaped my outlook. It’s allowed me to approach every challenge with a positive attitude, knowing that each new project brings opportunities to grow, both professionally and personally.

I joined AX Construction in 2017 as Commercial Manager after completing my MBA. My role focused on guiding projects from the proposal stages through to contract negotiations and final agreements with clients.

It’s a demanding role, especially when working on large, high-stakes projects like The Verdala and the Suncrest redevelopment. But there’s always someone to turn to for advice or guidance, which gave me the confidence to take on more responsibility.

For me, success comes down to discipline and consistency. It was the same mindset that drove me as a runner. That’s why my favourite motto is, ‘Excellence isn’t a single act, it’s a habit you build over time.
